Recognising the diverse preferences of older adults, I offer flexible training options. From in-home sessions for those who prefer the comfort of their own space to group classes that encourage social engagement, finding the perfect fit for you.
CLASS BASED
For clients who prefer to exercise amongst like-minded people, the class environment is perfect for you. Connecting with other older adults for social interaction can help reduce isolation and provide a sense of belonging in addition to providing the desired physical benefits.
ION Cardiff Legends over 60’s strength and conditioning classes offer the perfect balance of exercises for the older adult. Using resistance bands and light free weights for muscular endurance and incorporating mobility, coordination and balance exercises, these classes are tailored specifically for the needs of the older population.
Classes run weekdays 11:00-12:00 and are delivered at ION’s Llanishen facility.
GYM BASED PERSONAL TRAINING
Delivered at ION Llanishen, these personal training sessions offer individuals a focused and customised experience within the setting of the gym. Here we will work closely together to tailor your programs to meet your specific goals, fitness levels, and preferences. Personal training is an excellent option for those who appreciate the variety of equipment available and the motivating atmosphere of the gym.
Whether your goals are to get strong, improve balance and mobility or increase general fitness, sessions are designed to meet these whilst providing a fresh approach with a wide range of exercise choices.
Gym based personal training is available weekdays 08:00-11:00 and Wednesdays 13:00-17:00
HOME BASED PERSONAL TRAINING
For clients who prefer to stay at home or those with mobility restrictions, home based personal training is available. Providing the opportunity for clients to exercise safely and meet the recommended guidelines for physical activity. Exercises are personalised for individuals to tailor them to their specific needs and abilities.
Chair based exercise is also available to clients who have limited mobility, stability or balance. These exercises are particularly beneficial for older adults and those with chronic health conditions or suffering from cognitive decline.
